Maurice Minno - RealtorThe Racquet Club Area of Palm Springs is today comprised of 2 separate neighborhoods: Racquet Club Estates and Racquet Club West. These 2 neighborhoods, along with 10 others, form the 12 neighborhoods located in North Palm Springs.

The Racquet Club Estates Neighborhood was home to the former Racquet Club Hotel, which for nearly 70 years, was considered “the place to be and to be seen” in Palm Springs.  Opened in 1933, the Racquet Club Hotel attracted Hollywood’s elite (Clark Gabel, Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Roonie, Spencer Tracy, Jane Wyman, William Powell, Errol Flynn, Jackie Cooper, Lana Turner, Ginger Rogers, Audrey Heyburn and Doris Day, among many others).  The celebrities came to Palm Springs to relax, to swim, to lounge by the pool and to play in the frequent tennis tournaments held at The Racquet Club.  They also had never ending fun in the infamous Bamboo Bar and Lounge where it is claimed the Bloody Mary was invented for soothing their lingering hangovers from night-long partying.

Today North Palm Springs is also home to Victoria Park, one of nine public parks owned and maintained by the City of Palm Springs.

Geographically, North Palm Springs boundaries are defined by these natural landmarks and streets:
